It is well known, in far west Cornwall, that if you frolic on the Sabbath, you may be turned to stone. The evidence is all around you in the stone circles, which dot the landscape. This set have “cup marks”, reflecting the circular human made marks, probably dating from the Bronze Age, which you can find on significant stones.
